out from the snow storm. what happens was the victim was trying to cross the police dorchester avenue when he was hit and killed. >> i heard a crash and a scream. >> reporter: the terrifying sound was a man hit and kill bide this truck in dorchester. the man was in the cross walk at the time of the crash. police have yet to confirm that. the truck had a plow on it. trying to figure out how this happened. people who live nearby are horrified by what they saw and heard. >> it's really horrible. not something you see every day. around dorchester, no. it's crazy. >> reporter: the neighborhood left shaken. people around here hope drivers slow down. >> they do drive wreckless but he was in a rush. um, everybody's in a rush. >> reporter: the driver did stay at the scene.

no word on if any charges will be filed in the case. 7 news 19. >> anchor: a robbery in mathune caught on camera. the theif making off with the safe. tonight they're searching for that suspect. 19's caroline live in mythune with the story. >> reporter: police believe this was one of several businesses hit in town possibly 6. a theif came up to the door and kicked in the door here and made off with a safe full of thousands. saturday morning kris walked into the pizza shop and found his front door kicked in. >> kicked in the office stole one of the safes. they made off with a couple thousand dollars in cash from the night before. it's unfortunate. not much we can do.

did something and could. made sure his cameras were recording all night long. all 22 of them. they got high quality of this guy breaking and entering and the pizza boss certainly glad they did. >> when he first came in he had a hat and mask on. some reason somehow he decided to take the mask off. we got good pictures of his face face. thank god. >> reporter: other businesses were targeted as well. as many as 6. possibly by this man too. the pizza shop was the only one with cameras rolling. has a message for this man. >> i hope you get caught. i hope this is the last place you get hit. get him off the streets. >> reporter: if you know that guy police ask you to call them asap. and the owner says he might be out of a lot of money.

spelled out on these girls shirt is one of those words. >> know 2 of the girls. i know the parents of one of the girls very well. >> reporter: what do you think. >> i'm not sure what to think. >> reporter: 91 of the parent whos were contacted wanted to address what happened. the superintendent is talking. >> outraged. disgust, disappointment. sensitivity training. there will be discipline. this will not be tolerated. >> reporter: 2 of the girls were on the soccer team didn't appear to be suited up for the most recent games. the girls are facing a 5 day sus suspension. force aid tough conversation. >> i don't think they were thinking. what they did was not right. that's not right at all. that's not their place to do that. that's not a black person's place to say that either.

through the city. winds have calmed overnight. that will be key for tomorrow too. current temperatures just below freezing in the city. 20 degrees in norwood. where we got the fresh snow pack the temperatures will drop overnight tonight. what's this? quiet tonight compared to last night. blips on the radar here. flurries through southern new hampshire. mostly the areas that didn't see snow fall last night. as we head into this week specifically tuesday and wednesday that mild air is push pushing in. cold doesn't stay far off. it take ace while for the cold to settle in on wednesday. sprinkles and showers late in the day on thursday. 16 to 24. tomorrow mostly sunny lighter winds with typical temperatures for this time of year. normal high 36. into tuesday warming by 10
